Alice in Wonderland Meets Charlie in the Chocolate Factory!

What a crazy evening! Filled with sensational costumes, ridiculous suprisises and memories I will never forget!!!!

When I set out to plan my 21st I had no idea how it would end up! With the rain pelting down all day, I was so concerned that the last minute changes would make it all go south! But it wouldn't have mattered if it rained, hailed or shined, everyone put in so much effort and looked absolutely killer, they set the mood and we never looked back!

After deciding the theme and sending out invites I realised I had no idea what I wanted to dress up as!!! After so much research I finally put my hands on the Dark Mad Hatter Costume. I used this as an inspiration and decided to put my own spin on it. Being naturally obsessed with wearing black, I was stoked that my entire costume could be black and white! I wore the Black Milk Elf Leggings, JC Shadow Spikes, a vintage white linen dinner shirt, an italian tuxedo jacket, a giant mad hatter hat with a big black and white striped bow, the same as the one around my neck! I had sewn them a week prior... it was such an experimental endeavour! but they turned out just fine!

For my hair I went right out of my comfort zone and wore a wig, dark brown bob, based on the advice of the ever so stunning and talented Sarah Laidlaw my Hair and Make up artist! I actually am in love with that hair style.... If I hadn't spend zillions of dollars on hair extensions and shed so many tears in the last 3 years over my last spontaneous hair cut where I cut my hair from super long to a pixie cut... I would be ever so tempted to make the move! If you have some time have a look at Sarah's work http://www.dlm.com.au/?page=hair_and_make_up&profile=69_SarahLaidlaw

My Cake was absolutely everything I envisaged, 8 layers, themed and unique! Patty Grainger did a sensational job!

I was also very fortunate to have the ever so brilliant Daniel Le Breton of DLB Photography snap the evening, and I just don't know how he did it but he managed to capture every moment perfectly. The dance floor went off, with almost every soul at the party on it after speeches! This was all the work of DJ OH-BOY, who recently took the stage at Future Music Festival for Starfuckers!

I was just so blessed to have all my amazing friends and family there to celebrate with me... oh and it didn't hurt either that I got a brand new Black Jeep Compass!!!

But on a serious note, I am truly blessed to have been able to have the 21st of my dreams. Thank god it is over, it was so stressful!!!

xx D
